The Missing Month
Ah yes, it’s about that time again. The time to fill everyone in on my comings and goings over the last month. Since Sterling there’s been a whirlwind of activity. I won’t go into all the detail, but I’ll give you a bulleted list of various things. If you want more detail you’re certainly welcome to ask for it.
* We hired a new guy at work. He’s working out great.
* After a rough Sterling quiz, the K3 team returned for more quizzing at the Indy quiz. I actually watched them this time (4 or 5 rounds out of 8) and they got 10th. It was a funny joke to think I had anything to do with them placing that high, but in all reality Sara’s a great coach and she has great kids.
* I attended Erika’s 29th birthday party. Happy Birthday Erika! This was immediately following Indy and included meeting some new people, playing Apples to Apples, and performing improv plays from a little girl’s princess devotional book. I got to play mom who was playing Jesus.
* We finally fully moved out of our old offices and cut all ties. Unfortunately a bunch of pop machine money was stolen, but then someone returned it. It’s a good story. I should post about it.
* CCD had it’s last regular district quiz at Chicago Heights (or Cheights as they like to call themselves). My girls combined with Manteno and took 11th out of 13 teams. I quizmastered since all the college students had spring break. Seriously, who said they could have a week off? I remember when I went to school I never got a spring break. I also had to walk 27 miles in the snow uphill both ways all year round.
* It snowed again. I officially added winter to my “I’m mad at you” list.
* I bought some new clothes at the Gap. I still need a big boy jacket.
* I thought there was more.
So there you have it. An entire month of my life condensed into half a page. I hope you’re happy.

well, you didn’t talk about the airline adventure-which i imagine belongs in the “i thought there was more” bullet.
Erika’s party was pretty fun. I don’t think i’ve ever done such amazing improv.
you forgot to mention joe throwing up as fun on the indy trip. of course, i could post this on my own blog…but why bother? no one ever reads my blog (which is good, because i dont think i could handle the comment attacks the way you do…i would probably have a break down and be hospitalized).
i think there was more to say, but alas, i’ve forgotten as well.

Jeremy,
At long last a new post!! My life has meaning once again, even if it is a bulleted list post with little detail and a minimal amount of narrative.
Regarding hating winter, would it bother you at all if I mentioned that it’s been in the mid-80s and sunny everday for several weeks, and I’ve been working shorts and flip-flops most of the time?
I want more details about the clothes you got from the Gap.

Yeah, I need to post about the airline adventure. That’s definitely post worthy. Which reminds me, those people haven’t sent me a receipt yet! Oh how I don’t like NWA. Perhaps I’ll post about that tomorrow. Of course I still need to post about my taxes (oh how I hate those too), and my life in general, and probably other things. Oh how life passes me by when I’m not writing on my blog.
We’re reading Celebration of Discipline for my Sunday small group. Have you read it? It’s really good. Really humbling, but really good.

Joshua,
Your attempt to make me jealous by telling me about your mid-80s and sunny days will utterly fail. It’s March 27th and we just got 2 inches of snow. At least I can still build snowmen at the end of March. What can you do? Dress up one of your illegal housekeepers in a snowman outfit? It’s not the same and you know it.
Also, from the Gap I bought two spring jackets, one with a hood and one without. I also bought 4 polo shirts (1 large striped, 1 small striped, and 2 solids), and 3 pairs of colored socks. The girls who helped me was very nice. I did not get her phone number.

I’m glad you felt it appropriate to tell the entire world how old I was…
But I loved having you at my party! We had fun.
One of my friends videod all the improv…I should see if he’s ever going to post it…then the whole world will know what a wonderful Mom pretending to be God you are.

If it is too cold and snowy in Chicago, and Arizona is not warm enough, you could move out to Sudan and room with me. It is between 120 - 130 ℉ right now and is above the century mark year round. My MN body is still adjusting.

Driscoll,
If it is too cold or snowy in Chicago, but not warm enough in Arizona, you can always room with me here in Sudan. It is between 120 - 130 ℉ now and stays above the century mark all year round.
